What to Expect

Same-day clarity. No surprises.

Every patient gets a written plan with 3D imaging before anything is scheduled. You will know what is happening and what it costs before you commit.

  1. Step 1

    Pre-sedation evaluation

A medical history review and physical exam to make sure IV sedation is safe for you. We ask about medications, allergies, and any past anesthesia experiences.

  2. Step 2

    IV placement

A small IV is placed in your arm or hand. This is the most uncomfortable part — and it takes about 10 seconds.

  3. Step 3

    Sedation onset

Sedative medication takes effect in 60–90 seconds. You'll feel deeply relaxed. Your protective reflexes stay intact — you can breathe and respond to voice — but you won't form memories of the procedure.

  4. Step 4

    Recovery + ride home

After the procedure you rest in our recovery area until you can walk steadily (typically 30–60 minutes). A driver takes you home. You will need to rest the remainder of the day and avoid driving for 24 hours.

Why Patients Choose Us

A different kind of oral-surgery experience.

Trained at the level required to operate in a hospital. Delivered in a private, comfortable office.

Trained in All Levels of Anesthesia

Local, IV sedation, AND general anesthesia. The same range you get at a hospital, delivered in a private office.

Surgeon Administered

Many general dentists outsource sedation to a visiting anesthesiologist. Our oral surgeon both administers the sedation and performs the procedure — one person responsible from start to finish.

Anxiety-Friendly Office

We see patients who haven't been to a dentist in 20 years. Pre-sedation orals, blankets, headphones — whatever you need to be comfortable walking in.

Established 2010

Fifteen years of safe in-office sedation. No backlog of complications, no emergency transfers.

Common Questions

Answered.

Will I be unconscious? +
Not in the general-anesthesia sense. IV sedation puts you in a deeply relaxed state where you can still breathe on your own and respond if the surgeon asks. You just don't form memories of the procedure — most patients say it felt like a 5-minute nap.
Is IV sedation safe? +
For healthy adults, yes — when administered by someone properly trained. Our surgeon is board-certified and credentialed to operate inside a hospital. Vitals are monitored continuously throughout.
Who is NOT a candidate? +
Patients with uncontrolled high blood pressure, severe sleep apnea, certain heart conditions, or who are pregnant may need local anesthesia or hospital-based general anesthesia instead. We screen at the consult.
Will I need a ride home? +
Yes — you cannot drive for 24 hours after IV sedation. A friend, family member, or rideshare driver needs to take you home. We will not start the procedure without confirming your ride.
How much does it cost? +
IV sedation is typically an add-on to whatever procedure you're having — wisdom teeth, implants, surgery. Most patients are in the $300–$800 range for the sedation itself, separate from the procedure cost. Some medical insurance covers it.
